Frost's Poem About Homework

Homework

I hate homework.
It is lame.
Like a classroom without knowledge
or a track without a train,
like a river without water
or a mom without a daughter
I could just wash you down the sink.
Oh homework,
You really stink.

Dear Frost,

This is a fabulous poem. Did you write it for homework?! Hmmm....

Be patient... homework can be useful, even if it is a drag sometimes.

By the way, Luca used to hate his homework (a LOT), but he seems OK with it now. I don't think it's nearly as demanding as yours is though. He only gets homework once a week, and it only takes an hour or two to do it, plus some time playing hangman to learn spelling. This is a bit harder for him than you might expect, because he goes to school in French (but we speak English at home). He's doing pretty well though.

I look forward to reading more of your poems.

Tam

p.s. some of the best poetry is written when we're angry!
