Ice-storm? Blizzard?

When I went out to fetch the newspaper this morning the local weather station in Bryant was reading 15 degrees. This is Seattle?

It is a clear dry day today but the forecast is for an ice-storm, wind-storm, blizzard combo starting tonight.

I think it is time to get my errands run today and to leave the chains on.

How are my other Seattle friends doing with all this?

we have firewood cut incase we lose power but I am hoping we don't it is cold and the fireplace is not going to be super warm! I plan to run errands also and steven has 4x truck and lived in Vail for 8 yrs so he can handle the snow and ice but I am not a big fan. I like the warmth! urgh! I think it is pretty and as long as we don't lose power will be fine with the weather and staying home with a nice pause:) A forced break is a good break right!

Hey Wyndi, I went to Fred Myer and it was extremely busy. There were 10 people in line at each register all filling up with firelogs and batteries and bottled water. Frost and I went out sledding at the local park where there's a hill. Its beautiful but I don't like the sound of wind and thaw and icey rain. Not so fun for kids and grownups.
